Chris McAree
Background
Chris McAree is the founder and CEO of LeafTech, where over 20 years of IT experience meet a passion for people and innovation. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario in 2001, he transitioned from application development to IT consulting. In 2007, he launched LeafTech to make technology more human—and more helpful. Since then, he’s led the company through growth, transformation, and plenty of innovation.
Chris’s people-first leadership has shaped LeafTech’s culture and success. He’s worked globally but has a soft spot for London, England. A proud Canadian, he’s a lifelong hockey fan—his dog is named Edmonton after the Oilers.
Chris is a three-time Colorado Titan 100 award winner (2020, 2022, 2024) and was inducted into the Titan 100 Hall of Fame in 2024, honoring his long-term leadership and impact.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys family time, travel, and cooking up his famous Christmas “Roast Beast.” His team knows him for his upbeat energy, leadership, and surprisingly great culinary skills.
Fun fact: though he’s a dog guy, cats seem to follow him everywhere.
Chris lives by Churchill’s words: “Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”
Brian Myers
Background
Brian has a rich technology and customer service background, starting at the U.S. Navy Aviation School as a Plane Captain on the USS Kittyhawk. With 25 years of experience in Level II Technical Support Consultant and helpdesk roles, he specializes in resolving end-user issues, troubleshooting software and hardware problems, and managing server and networking tasks. His certification as a Fortinet Technician further validates his expertise.
Brian has demonstrated exceptional customer service throughout his career, providing remote and onsite support. His hero story involves identifying a failing 5-port switch that had crippled an oil exploration company’s network for over a week, solving the issue after five other engineers couldn’t.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, Brian now calls Colorado home. His favorite place is the High Plains Raceway track outside of Byers, Colorado, where he enjoys driving. Spring is his favorite season, allowing him to showcase his winter work in his garage.
Brian’s passion for technology was ignited in 1983 when his mother bought him a Commodore 64 computer, compelling him to learn how to play video games. Outside of work, he enjoys racing his classic Ferraris, Corvette, and Porsche, and has a soft spot for cats. To relax, he takes drives or races vintage slot cars.
Brian would choose Carroll Shelby, whose story resonates with and inspires his professional journey, if given the chance for a philosophical conversation.
